1st Regional Forum on Best Practices in Health Care and Directors Joint Consultative Committee Meeting

The East, Central and Southern African Health Community (ECSA) in collaboration with its partners will hold the Regional Forum on Best practices in Health Care from 4-7 September 2007 in Arusha, Tanzania. The forum will bring together the regions leaders in health policy and programme implementation in the ministries of health as well as researchers and partners to share best practices and experiences in health care in the East, Central and Southern African region. The forum will be followed on 6-7 September 2007 by a regional meeting of the Directors Joint Consultative Committee (DJCC), which is the technical advisory organ of the ECSA Health Community. The DJCC will review and adopt the recommendations of the Forum. The DJCC constitutes of Directors of Health Services, Heads of Health Training Institutions, heads of medical research institutions, and senior Programme managers from member states of the East central and Southern Health Community. Collaborating partners and other key stakeholders involved in various health programmes in the region will also participate in the DJCC.
