Benefits Of Using Clomid As a PCT Supplement
Table of Contents
Clomid can be incredibly effective and potent in combating the drop in testosterone levels that many bodybuilders suffer when using SARMs or steroids.
But just how effective is Clomid as a post cycle therapy (PCT) treatment, and what’s the best way of using it? I’m going to answer those two key questions for you in the next five minutes. You’ll also learn the Clomid PCT dosage range you should be using after SARMs cycles, the type of SARMs that will need to be used in conjunction with PCT, and those that don’t require it.
You’ll also learn about the downsides of Clomid: its potency, and potential side effects. Plus, I’ll also tell you where I buy it online at the same place I also buy 100% pure SARMs.
What Is Clomid Exactly?
Clomid was never designed to be used for addressing testosterone drops in males. It was created to help women with fertility problems. Clomid is actually a brand name for the generic SERM Clomifene, or Clomifene citrate.
So Clomid is a Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator, which interacts in the body with the Estrogen Receptor (ER) in various ways depending on the dose and structure of the medication.
But crucially, Clomid also works very well in men. It helps to stimulate the production of testosterone way above previous levels.
Studies have found that Clomifene can increase testosterone levels by as much as 2.5 times above the baseline amount, a dramatic increase in free testosterone that can then be used to power performance and muscle building.
How To Use Clomid For Bodybuilding
So Clomid sounds awesome, right? But how do you use it? How do you use Clomid for bodybuilding in a productive and safe way?
Well, the key is using it for Post Cycle Therapy (PCT). By doing this you can help your testosterone levels to bounce back if they are suppressed by SARMs use, and even better, maybe even increase them above the baseline, allowing you to power on through workouts and produce more muscle.
If you successfully use it as a PCT, Clomid can increase your free testosterone levels way above baseline, giving you a significant benefit in terms of performance and results, on top of those induced by sensible SARMs use.
By using SARMs (stacked sensibly), alongside using a Clomid PCT supplement, you can get the following benefits:
- Reverses testosterone drops from SARMs use
- Can increase testosterone levels above your baseline level
- Testosterone increases can have mental and physical benefits
- Muscle gains will be even better than those produced by SARMs alone
So we are going to be using Clomid PCT in between SARMs cycles. Now, how that cycle of SARMs and then PCT works for you will depend on a lot of variables that are very personal.
It’s impossible to tell you an exact dosage or cycle. But mostly, guys are using an eight week cycle of SARMs (for lower doses and the more experienced users, 12 weeks), with a 2-4 week gap, during which Post Cycle Therapy occurs.
How long PCT lasts though, and how aggressively you do it, will depend on the SARMs you are using, how you stack them, and the total dose you are using. But complicating this, a lower dose over longer could have the same effect as a high-dose over a short time.
So using Clomid for bodybuilding will all come down to how you feel towards the end of your cycle. If you are suffering the signs of testosterone drop, then you may need to consider using it on cycle, which I’ll cover in a moment.
The signs of testosterone drop (often called “Gyno” symptoms), which would prompt you to consider using Clomid on cycle, or to stop your SARMs cycle early and use Clomid for PCT include:
- Changes in sleep patterns
- Feeling tired and lethargic
- Feeling physically drained
- Reduced sex drive and sexual dysfunction
- Emotional disruption
- Fertility reduction
- The decrease in physical strength and stamina
- Weight gain
- Shrinking of testicles
- Change in voice pitch
- Development of breast tissue (Man boobs)
If you start to feel several of these signs during a SARMs cycle, it might be worth stopping it and starting Post Cycle Therapy. Alternatively, if they are minor, you could lower the dose for the rest of the cycle.
Please do not ignore the significant changes like testicular size, voice pitch, and especially tenderness and changes in the chest area. If you do get these, immediately stop and start an aggressive Clomid PCT course.
Compared to Nolvadex PCT, the other most popular chemical used for Post Cycle Therapy, Clomid is very powerful. But it comes with more side effects. However, if you are suffering significant gyno symptoms, it is far more aggressive and effective.
Proper Dosage
So what sort of dosage should you be using in order to achieve a dramatic increase in testosterone that both bounces you back after a SARMs cycle, and can actually increase your free testosterone levels?
That’s a tough question to answer because everyone’s dosage could be different. It depends on a lot of variables, things like the length of the SARMs cycle, the type of SARMs use, the total dose (individual or stacked), you’re starting testosterone levels, how your body produces testosterone, so many things feed into this.
So when you start your PCT, will be down to how you feel, ticking boxes against those feelings of testosterone drop.
As I’ve already said, studies have shown that you can increase your testosterone levels by up to 2.5 times baseline by using Clomid. The doses in those studies range from 20 through 50 mg three times per week.
Now if you have used Nolvadex before, you may cause yourself problems because that has to be dosed daily. It can be dosed daily, but you have to keep the dose low, 20 mg or lower is typical.
However, if you are suffering significant gyno symptoms, you could start with 50 mg on day one, then drop it down to 10 mg for a couple of days, then back up to 50 mg depending on progression. It really is going to be down to how you feel.
The key advice here from me though is it is potent, and if you do want to take every day, then you probably only want 10-25 mg per day, if you are suffering significant symptoms, raise the dose for the first week, but don’t make it high every day.
You’ll read some guys saying to hit crazy doses of 100 milligrams per day, but that’s insane, even if you are trapped in the hell of steroid side effects. However, if things are really bad, then 50 mg per day is okay, but never do it for longer than a week.
Using Clomid PCT On Cycle
It is possible to use it on the cycle as well. I wouldn’t really recommend it though, because of the complications it can bring you to keep doing it.
If you notice gyno symptoms during a cycle of SARMs, my advice is to first drop the dosage for a week to see if that allows you to start recovering. However, if the symptoms are severe, stop the cycle and start PCT.
But if you are going to use Clomid PCT on cycle, then keep the dosage of it low. 25 mg every other day be plenty. If you need more than that after a week, I would advise you to stop the cycle and start PCT.
Possible Side Effects
Clomid can have side effects for some people, but mostly these are minor:
- Headache
- Nausea
- Sudden temperature increases (hot flashes)
- Oily skin and acne
- Visual distortions
The two serious side effects which are incredibly rare but something to be aware of is that long-term use of heavy doses has been linked to triggering the development of certain types of cancer cells. However the studies are predominantly been done on women, so there’s no way of knowing how they affect men.
The second potentially serious side effect is that visual distortions can continue after stopping the use of Clomid. This is very rare, but guys hitting huge daily doses of Clomid for years on end have been stuck with distorted vision.
But at low doses, for 2-4 weeks, every 8-12 weeks, Clomid is an incredibly effective PCT that should have few real-world side effects.
Femara Vs Clomid
Femara is another SERM that’s used unofficially to help recover testosterone levels in bodybuilding.
It’s one of the three most commonly used, alongside Clomid and Nolvadex. Both Clomid and Femara are very similar in strength.
So everything I’ve warned you about in terms of using Clomid applies to Femara, but potentially more intensely due to the fact that Femara can produce more significant side effects, including cholesterol level increases and heart palpitations.
For me, Clomid is a safer option because you get the same results with potentially fewer problems.
SARMs That Don’t Require The Use Of PCT Supplements
These the SARMs that don’t require the use of Clomid as a PCT, due to the fact that they are not truly selective androgen receptor modulators:
I’ll also add to that list Ostarine. As long as you not taking a very high dose, it does not affect testosterone levels very much at all, so if you are stacking it with any of the above three, or taking Ostarine on its own at 30 mg per day or less, then you shouldn’t need a PCT supplement at all.

So I hope this quick guide to Clomid PCT has been useful to you guys and helped you to understand that it’s incredibly effective for bouncing testosterone levels back, but it needs to be treated with respect.
In terms of where to buy Clomid online, I always get it from the same place that I buy my SARMs from: Swiss Chems. Swiss Chems are based in the USA, but do offer global shipping for a very competitive price. They also accept bitcoin payments, which attracts a significant 33% discount.
They sell all the major types of SARMs in liquid format, at very affordable prices considering that they are lab tested and guaranteed 100% pure. But they do also sell a pure Clomid as well. 100 tablets, each with a dose of 25 mg of Clomid, which will cost you $108.
Now that may sound quite expensive, but you have to remember that 25 mg is still quite a high dose of it. So you may not be taking it every day, which means that one purchase could last you 2-3 PCT cycles.
